Their hands-on beginnings involved training on rooftops and collaborating closely with installation teams. This practical experience provided them with in-depth knowledge of the entire process, from materials to the intricacies of fitting solar systems on various types of roofs—be it for residential, commercial, pitched or flat roof installations. With both being masters graduates from Nottingham, their career paths evolved into senior management roles, where they led projects, managed programmes, and contributed to strategic development.

Unique Pathways in Solar

Over the years, they embarked on unique yet complementary journeys, encompassing roles at industry giants like Lightsource BP and EON. Collaborating with landowners, they've contributed to solar farm projects and their public sector involvement focused on aiding those in fuel poverty, overseeing extensive domestic installation programmes. Notably, one project saw the completion of over 1,000 installations to homes in just six months. Together they have managed extensive installation schemes for varying industries, playing pivotal roles in creating some of the country's largest publicly owned solar canopies at the time of installation, as well as established solar Power Purchase Agreements. Their experiences have also taken them overseas, in the USA, California, to support an expansion into new markets. 

Together, the founders have collectively developed and overseen more than 5,000 domestic installations and 440MW of commercial and utility scale solar and battery schemes.
