Hey, I'm Edward
FOUNDing director
I began my career in the renewable energy industry after graduating with a Master’s degree in Property Development and Construction from Nottingham Trent University in 2009.
With over 16 years of experience, including projects that have taken me across the world, we founded Solar and Battery Company.com with one clear aim: to empower homeowners in the East Midlands to take back control of their electricity bills, while delivering an exceptional customer journey before, during, and long after installation - exceeding MCS standards.
My background spans both technical and customer-facing roles, giving me a deep understanding of how to design home systems that genuinely deliver on our promises, not just look good on paper.
Over my career, I’ve overseen the delivery of solar installations for more than 5,000 homes across the UK, from individual projects to large-scale schemes. I also spent five years in the public sector, managing solar PV programmes for Nottingham City Council’s social housing stock and several commercial properties.

founding director
After graduating from Nottingham University with an MSc in Chemistry, I began working in the solar industry in 2010, where Edward and I first met. Our careers crossed paths a couple of times before I went on to work with Lightsource BP and E.ON, gaining valuable experience across the industry.
My background spans both domestic and large-scale solar projects, and with a scientific foundation, and a father who was an electrical engineer, I’ve always been drawn to the technical side of installations.
We founded Solar and Battery Company.com with one mission: to provide homeowners with the best possible customer experience, backed by exceptional installation quality.
Today, I lead our operations and installation teams, taking a hands-on approach to every project. I make it a point to know our customers by name and ensure every system is installed safely, neatly, and built to perform exactly as designed.
